Abstract
As we all know, allusions in a language have long been cherished as part of cultural heritage of a nation, or rather, the crystallization of its culture. Through analyzing allusions, we can have a better understanding of the relative histories as well as the evolving process of the language, so are English allusions. In order to improve the interest or rather, the motivations on the part of the learners in their English learning, we select biblical allusions, the classical source as an attraction. The first chapter of this essay is mainly about the source of English words, the conception of allusions and the cognition of the Bible, which proves that English language has the influential history and abundant culture implication. The second chapter analyzes the source of biblical allusions from different aspects, deepening the understanding and comprehension of biblical allusions. The third chapter firmly associates biblical allusions with English language learning. Biblical allusions referred in this essay source from various areas such as foreign lectures, American presidential inaugural addresses, religious articles, etc. These all are typical materials as preliminary knowledge in texts, oral practices and translation discourses of class learning. From the perspective of learners and teachers, it is absolutely necessary attaching adequate importance to such a particular type of language materials.

众多周知,典故作为它所在语言体系中民族文化遗产的一部分,更是其文化结晶,在文化传承中备受珍视。通过典故的学习,让我们对相应的历史以及语言演变和发展过程有了更加深入的了解,英语典故就是如此。为提高学习者对英语学习的兴趣和动机,我们选择圣经典故这一经典来源作为讨论切入点。
论文第一章从英语的来源,典故的概念以及圣经的认识对论文进行初步描述,英语论文,证明英语语言具有深远的历史,丰富的文化内涵。第二章意在略论圣经典故的来源,从不同角度分类描述圣经典故,加深对圣经典故的认识和了解。第三章重点是在英语语言学习上,圣经典故来源于不同的领域,例如外国文学,美国总统就职演说,宗教文化等等。 这些都是课堂学习中英语教材,口语练习和翻译课程知识的经典。更从学习者与授予者的角度点明这种特定语言材料的重要性和必要性。
