Abstract:

With the rapid development of information technology, the new generation of teaching media--interactive electronic whiteboard has entered the classroom teaching. This study aims to investigate the current situation of its application in small English classes. The participants are the Grade 9 students and English teachers in middle school. Through questionnaire and the interview, it is found that students have a positive perception of IWB in general. They have high self-efficacy in the digital classroom with IWB. They feel IWB makes English classes more interesting and more interactive. And there is a significant difference between boys and girls in evaluation of teachers’ using IWB in teaching. Besides, young teachers favor IWB in small English classes, because it can provide opportunities for interaction. However, problems such as lack of training teachers to use IWB make it difficult for some elder teachers to use IWB in class.

摘要:

随着信息技术的飞速发展,新一代的教学媒体——交互式电子白板进入中小学课堂。本探讨旨在研讨当前的英语小班化的运用近况。参与者是南京第五十四中学九年级三班的学生以及两位英语教师。通过问卷调查和访谈,笔者发现学生关于交互式电子白板总体持有积极的看法。他们在IWB电子课堂具有较高的自我效能感。他们觉得教师使用IWB使得小班化英语教学课堂有了更多的互动而变得更加有趣。通过对教师的访谈,笔者发现,青年教师相关于年长的英语教师更加支持在本校小班化的课堂环境下使用IWB。他们认为交互白板能够满足小班教学积极互动的需要。然而,英语论文,由于问题比如缺乏相关的知识和必要的训练,英语毕业论文,使得一些年长的教师上课时关于使用交互白板存在困难。

1.Introduction
  Whiteboard is a high tech product which takes the high-tech product software technology and through the application of the principle of electromagnetic induction to combine the computer and projector. It can make the paperless office and teaching come true.
The first interactive whiteboard in the world was pioneered by the Canadian company SMART ——SMART Board Interactive Whiteboard. The Minister of Education of Britain, Charles Clarke, strongly recommended the interactive whiteboard as a success in applying electronic communication technology in education on the ceremony of the British Educational Technology Expo (BETT) in 2017. He mentioned the interactive whiteboard and electronic whiteboard many times in his short speech. “I have been hugely impressed myself by the use of electronic whiteboard technology”, he said. Besides, he thought that IWB is a kind of tool which can help teachers make an exciting class and help students benefit from the interaction among students, teachers and the IWB no matter what the specific environment is (Ding Xingfu, Jiang Guozhen).
