1. Introduction
Lead- in part is the beginning of one lesson and effective activities can build up the foundation for the whole process of a lesson in class. Any problems and shortcomings still exist in the current junior school English teaching, such as inappropriate allocation of time resulting from rich content pursuing innovative methods detached and mechanical practice without regarding to the content and so on. Situational method in the leading-in process is only a branch of teaching and research scenarios, but it seems to deserve more attention for its distinct characteristics. This study will focus on the application of situational teaching in the lead-in part of English classroom teaching, especially in secondary schools. Pupils like objects, pictures, songs and videos which are easily to be accessed, arranged and organized. Most of students in secondary school are used to these kinds of stimulations, so their interests will be more difficult to be aroused than pupils.
