摘要:

本文关注大学英语英语语言学教学近况,通过大学英语系语言学问卷调查对55名学生进行了问卷调查,从学生的课程态度,英语论文题目,学习兴趣,努力程度和教材满意度以及学生对语言学的期望等方面略论了英语系学生的语言学学习状况,并且略论了学生们对语言学教学学习的建议,结合其他学者的探讨成果对数据略论进行了讨论.

Abstract:

This paper focuses on the teaching situation of English Linguistics. 55 students have been investigated in the form of questionnaire in the aspects of their course attitudes, study interest, degree of efforts and satisfaction of textbooks as well as expectations of students to the course. The study makes an analysis of the proposals of students to the teaching of the English Linguistics. At last, the results have been discussed based on students’ answers to the questions in the questionnaire and achievements of scholars.

1.    Introduction
The undergraduate courses for English majors in universities and colleges are divided into three sections: the skill section, the knowledge section and the knowledge relevant section. The course of linguistics is regarded as one of the most important courses in the knowledge section for English majors. This course would have students understand the basic concepts and obtain the basic knowledge of linguistics, and train them to be capable of applying and analyzing linguistic theory. It aims to acquaint students with fruitful achievements of language researches in history and improve students' awareness of importance of linguistics in society, culture, economics, science as well as personal cultivation. More importantly, it will contribute to the development of students' logic and rational faculty. After taking the course, students will lay a solid foundation for further research in linguistics and its relevant fields. From this we can see its importance for English majors.
