Abstract:
Vocabulary acquisition is one of the most important factors in second language acquisition (SLA). The research into it is helpful to master a foreign language. Theoretically a larger vocabulary entails a stronger power of expression. But for some Chinese EFL learners, the learning of vocabulary is only limited to recognizing receptive words, with a poor command of the denotation, connotation, collocations and idiomatic usages of many productive words. As a result, their language output is marked with mistakes of various kinds. The causes of the problem, aside from faulty study methods and learning strategies, are inevitably affected by language transfer. There are positive transfer and negative transfer, and the latter always causes many mistakes during the learning process. Through the review of previous studies on language transfer, this thesis intends to analyse the characteristics of interlingual negative transfer. The author also attempts to explore, on condition that the first language is Chinese, the influence of interlingual negative transfer on English vocabulary acquisition. This paper explains several misapprehensions of interlingual negative transfer and analyses the factors of it, which enables the Chinese learners to have clear consciousness when they are acquiring English vocabulary. Then it exemplifies the influence of interlingual negative transfer from several types of words, such as color words, animal words, collocation of words, and etc, and explores how the errors occur and why these errors are worth studying. Based on such understanding, it also aims to find out the truth of second language vocabulary acquisition process.

词汇习得是二语习得中的一个至关重要的方面，这方面的探讨关于掌握一门外语很有帮助。从理论上讲，英语论文题目，词汇量越大，语言表达能力就越强。但部分中国英语学习者对绝大多数词汇仅限于辨认式掌握，对需要复用式掌握的核心词汇的外延、内涵、搭配、惯用法等却知其一而不知其二，其语言输出往往错误百出。究其原因，除了学习措施、学习策略方面的问题外,也受语际迁移的作用。其中分为正迁移和负迁移，并且后者在学习过程中会引起许多错误。通过对语际迁移探讨的回顾，本文将对语际负迁移的特征进行略论，并且试图研讨在母语为中文的情况下，语际负迁移对英语词汇习得的作用。其次会列举一些受语际负迁移作用而产生的误用，英语毕业论文，并且略论其产生的原因，使中国学习者能在学习英语词汇时有清楚的认识。然后还将通过多种词汇类型比如颜色词、动物词、以及词汇搭配等解释语际负迁移的作用，并且研讨错误怎么产生以及为什么值得探讨。基于以上理解，本文也将旨在找出二语词汇习得的实质。

1 Introduction
Nowadays, with the economic globalization, English has been widely used in the development of this world. More and more people are attaching great importance to the learning and using of English. It is necessary to ensure our communicating with foreigners smoothly. For an English major in college, the difficulty in understanding the influence on interlingual negative transfer arouses more of the writer’s curiosity, which enhances more motive power for the present study. |
