Abstract: The introduction of multimedia technology into college English teaching has posed a great challenge to traditional teaching models and played an increasingly important role in helping the students in effective self-access English learning. Although there are so many advantages in the application of multimedia technology to language teaching, it is a pity that in today’s college English classes, few teachers are able to integrate the modern education technology with their language teaching. In this essay, the author tries to answer the key question—how to make full use of QQ in self-access English learning. Following the feasibility study of the QQ-based self-access English learning, the author analyzes the characteristics of QQ and the functions of QQ in self-access English learning. By applying QQ in the teaching of college English teaching especially in the teaching of writing, the QQ-based writing teaching model is explored in the essay to promote self-access English learning. |
