Abstract
Vocabulary learning is one of important parts of language learning. And it is also an arduous and long process of accumulation. Vocabulary is the cornerstone of language learning. Without vocabulary, there is no language learning. To some extent, the size of vocabulary can reflect one’s language proficiency. There are a growing number of English learners in China since English has become more and more prevalent all around the world. However, English vocabulary learning has long been a big issue for most English learners. University students, as one of the major groups of English learners, are facing the same problem. Some university students blindly apply some ineffective strategies to learn vocabulary. As a result, most of them get half the result with twice the effort.
Based on the previous researches in this filed,the paper elaborate three main stages in vocabulary learning process, that is, contacting with new words, memorizing the new words and enhancing the memory of the words. Through conducting an investigation of some basic information of university students during their vocabulary learning, I find out that their prominent problems is that they have little opportunities to contact with new English words and fail to find proper vocabulary memorizing strategies. At the end of the paper, I come up with some effective vocabulary learning strategies for them coordination with different vocabulary learning stages.

摘 要
词汇学习是语言学习的重要组成部分,也是一个艰苦而漫长的积累过程。词汇是语言学习的基石,没有词汇,就谈不上语言的学习。一定程度上来讲,英语论文,词汇量的大小反映了一个人掌握一门语言水平的高低。随着英语在世界范围内的不断普及,英语学习者的队伍日渐庞大。而英语词汇学习是一个一直困扰着广大英语学习者的重大难题。大学生,作为英语学习的主要群体之一,同样面临着英语词汇学习的困境。许多大学生在学习英语词汇的过程中,盲目地采取一些事倍功半的记忆措施,英语论文,导致英语词汇学习效率的低下。
本文在借鉴前人探讨成果的基础上,详细地阐述了英语词汇学习的三大阶段,即单词初识阶段、单词记忆阶段和单词巩固阶段。然后通过对大学生学习英语词汇的一些基本情况进行问卷调查,发现他们在词汇学习中的突出问题是接触英语词汇的机会少,也没有找到科学合理的词汇记忆措施。最后,本文结合词汇学习阶段理论,有针对性地提出了一些有效的词汇学习措施。
