摘要
美国女作家露易莎•梅•奥尔科特的长篇小说《小妇人》自一诞生便受到了全世界人们的喜爱。该小说是以十九世纪中期美国南北战争时期的新英格兰的小镇为背景,英语论文网站,讲述了马奇四姐妹的成长故事和爱情故事。作者通过塑造一个个冲破社会束缚的女性形象,向全世界人们展示了自己心中对新女性的定义:新女性不仅有较强的自立能力,英语论文范文,同时也应该富有对家庭和社会的责任感。
文章将以先前探讨《小妇人》人物性格的文献资料基础,应用语料库软件进行略论,并且从文本中选取例子以证观点。文章将分为前言、文献综述、主体以及结论四个部分。引言部分简要介绍了路易莎•梅•奥尔科特以及《小妇人》的基本情况,以奠定全文的理论基础。文献综述部分回顾了探讨介绍路易莎的基本情况以及《小妇人》主要角色性格的文章,并得出初步结论,为后文的论述确定方向。主体部分将包括五个要点:第一点是大姐梅格的性格略论;第二点是二姐乔的性格略论;第三点是三姐贝丝的性格略论,第四点是四妹艾米的性格略论;最后,对四姐妹的性格特征做出总结。结论部分将总结词汇的使用对性格特征的重要影响。

Abstract
The novel Little Women written by American female author Louisa May Alcott has been loved all over the world since it was published. This novel is set in a New England Town during the American Civil War in the mid-nineteenth century and tells stories about growth and love of all the four sisters. The author wanted to show the new images of women, who are self-reliant and have a strong sense of social responsibility to family, to the whole world.
This thesis is based on the previous studies on the personalities of main characters in Little Women, and analyze the text by using a corpus as well selecting several examples from the novel. To comply with the demands, four parts are included in the paper: the introduction, the literature review, the body and the conclusion. The introductory part gives a brief introduction to Louisa May Alcott and her work Little Women, which lays the theoretical basis of the whole research. The literature review shows the previous studies on the growth of Louisa and the role making of the March’s sisters, and some preliminary conclusions are proposed in order to guide the research. The body includes four main points: the first is to analyze the personality and virtue of the first daughter Meg; secondly, analyze the personality and virtue of the second daughter Jo; thirdly, analyze the personality and virtue of the third daughter Beth; and the fourth one about the personality and growth of the youngest daughter Amy; and the last point is about the general description of the four sisters. The conclusion states the importance of distinctive words and phrases used in role making.
