摘要
谭恩美是一位活跃在美国文坛上的杰出华裔女作家，《喜福会》是她的处女作，描写的是解放前移居美国的四位女性的人生经历。本文主要是通过略论《喜福会》中四对母女的联系变化，来探索其中的中美文化冲突与融合。在论文中，将会把母亲一代作为中国文化的一个缩影，而女儿一代则作为美国文化的缩影。本论文主要分为三个板块，一是略论四对母女之间的冲突及其产生的原因，英语论文题目，引申到中美文化的冲突。二是略论这些冲突产生的原因，就此点将会关系中美文化的异同进行略论。三是从母女联系的改善引出中美文化的融合。本文主要是从这几个方面以及小说主人公联系的变化来略论中美文化联系的变化。略论过程中还会涉及到“他者”、“移民身份的双重性”等概念的引入来辅助略论。

Abstract
Amy Tan is an outstanding Chinese woman writer in American literary world, The Joy Luck Club is her debut, which describes the life experience of four women who moved to the United States before liberation. This article mainly analyzes the changes of relationships of the four pairs of mothers and daughters in The Joy Luck Club, to explore the cultural conflict and integration of China and the United States. In the thesis, it will put mother generation as an epitome of Chinese culture, while the daughter generation as the epitome of American culture. This paper mainly divided into three parts, one is the analysis on the conflict between mother and daughter and its reasons, only the conflict of Chinese and American cultures. The second is to analyze the causes of these conflicts; on the contact point will analyze the cultural differences of China and the United States. The third one is from the improvement of the mother-daughter relationship leads to integration of Chinese and American cultures. In the thesis, the concept of duality and the concept of Other will be introduced and recommended to support the arguments in the thesis.
