Abstract
Jane Austin was a famous English author, whose works typically focus on country women’s life and marriage. She was endowed with a smart head and a gift of writing. Pride and Prejudice is one of her representative works, vividly reflecting the daily life of people who lived in the conservative English country from 18th to 19th century.
This thesis mainly analyzes the marriage view of females who lived in the 18th and 19th century by exploring different marriages in Pride and Prejudice. Part One briefly introduces Jane Austin and her novel Pride and Prejudice. Part Two elaborates the three marriage views of the protagonists in this novel, combined with a careful analysis of their marriage and fate. It also discusses how the females’ marriages were decided by various factors such as physical attraction, material wealth or true love. Part Three discusses Jane Austin’s view on marriage and then further explores how it was formed from the perspectives of the historical background, her experiences and the influence of Enlightenment in the 18th century. Part four displays the views of modern females on marriage and how they were influenced by Jane Austin.
Through analyzing the three different marriage views in Pride and Prejudice, this thesis attempts to provide readers with a better understanding of marriage and its relationship with love and money. In conclusion, marrying for fascinating appearance is unwise, and marriage should be based on true love; besides, marriage without property is unhappy, but property can never ensure a happy marriage.

简•奥斯汀是著名的英国女性小说家，她的著作以描写农村女性的婚姻观和日常生活为主。奥斯汀既聪明又有写作天赋，其代表作之一《傲慢与偏见》以乡村女性日常生活为素材，生动地反映了18至19世纪处于守旧闭塞状态下的英国乡村生活和世态人情。
该论文主要从小说里几段婚姻着手，略论18至19世纪女性的婚姻观。论文第一部分简要介绍了作者简•奥斯汀以及该小说。第二部分通过结合小说中主角的婚姻和各自的命运，详细略论了小说中主要的三种婚姻观，英语论文，同时也研讨了作用女性婚姻观的种种因素，英语论文题目，比如生理上的吸引、对物质的追求和真爱。第三部分研讨了简•奥斯汀的婚姻观，并结合她的生活的时代背景、人生经历和18世纪启蒙运动的作用来略论其婚姻观形成的原因。第四部分展示了当代女性的婚姻观，以及奥斯汀的婚姻观对她们的作用。
通过对《傲慢与偏见》中三种截然不同婚姻观的略论，本文试图让读者更深刻地理解婚姻以及其与爱情和金钱的联系。总而言之，因迷恋外表而结婚是不明智的，婚姻应该建立在爱情的基础上；此外，虽然没有经济基础的婚姻是不幸的，但是经济基础也不能保证婚姻幸福。
