《荒岛余生》作为汤姆汉克斯的电影代表作之一，改编自笛福的小说《鲁滨逊漂流记》。电影主角查克和鲁滨逊既有相同点，也有不同点。他们遭遇可怕的灾难后死里逃生，流落到一座荒芜的小岛，他们只能依靠自己生活在这恶劣的环境中。面对这座小岛，他们表现出不同的状态。荒岛的生活带给他们不同的感受，英语论文网站，改变了他们的人生观。本篇论文对这个两个人物的生活背景、社会价值观等方面进行了探讨，通过对这两个人物的对比描写，研讨了环境对人物的生活习惯，以及人生思想等方面产生的作用。

Abstract:
Cast Away, a well known movie, one of the most famous representative works of Tom Hanks, wins many rewards. It was adapted from Daniel Defoe’s famous novel Robinson Crusoe. Chuck, the protagonist of the movie, had some similar experiences in life with Robinson, but also had some different experiences. Both of them floated out to a wild island because of the horrible disaster, and they never met this kind of problem before. What they had to do was to rely on themselves in this hostile environment. Faced with the deserted island, they demonstrated different conditions. Life on the island brought them different feelings, changing their outlook on their philosophy of life. The whole paper, through these two characters, tells us that environment can change not only humans’ customs in life, but also their minds.

1. Brief introduction
The movie Cast Away is one of the most famous movies of Tom Hanks, and also it is the best movie of Academy Award. It told us a story that a FedEx worker suffered from an air crash and then floated out to a deserted island. The protagonist, Chuck, had some similar and different points on life with Robinson, a major character of the novel Robinson Crusoe. Robinson Crusoe was Defoe’s representative work. It was firstly published in 1719 and was considered as the first novel finished by diaries. It was also the first realist novel in British. Suffice to say, we could see some similar points between Robinson and Defoe. They both were born in a rich family and had their own dreams. The other same thing was that they survived from a terrible calamity, floating out to a wild island and living like savages. The difference was that at the beginning of the movie, it showed us that Chuck was a man of great enterprise and he knew that as a leader, he had the obligation to finish the work very well. But Robinson was longing for the life on the sea. So they have different states of mind.
