Abstract:

Virginia Woolf, one of the greatest women writers in English literature, is honored as the vanguard of modernism and feminism in twentieth century, the central figure in the literary circles of London. Mrs. Dalloway is one of her best-known novels which was published in May, 1925. It tells the details a day in the life of Clarissa Dalloway, who is a fictional high-society woman in post-World War I in England. Mrs. Dalloway is regarded as one of the best novels in 1923-2017 by TIME. This thesis mainly focuses on Woolf’s own tragedy replied in Mrs. Dalloway through comparison and analysis between Woolf and Clarissa's confusion in marriage and interpersonal relationship, Woolf and Septimus's torture of the war and mental disease, also Woolf and Sally's unfortunate in family and society. This thesis demonstrates the tragedy of Woolf’s life which has the enormous significance when she created characters in her novels.

摘要:

弗吉尼亚•伍尔芙,英国女作家,被誉为二十世纪现代主义与女性主义的先锋,伦敦文学界的核心人物。《达洛维夫人》是她于1925年5月发表的作品,小说描述了主人公克拉丽莎•达洛维在一战后英国一天的生活细节。该小说被时代杂志评为1923-2017百部最佳英文小说之一。本论文主要探讨的是《达洛维夫人》一书中暗含的伍尔芙自身的悲剧体现。通过对伍尔芙与克拉丽莎对婚姻和人际联系方面的困惑,英语论文英语论文范文,伍尔芙与赛普蒂默斯在战争和疾病方面的折磨以及伍尔芙与萨莉在家庭和社会中的不幸进行比较,寻找伍尔芙与书中三位主要人物悲剧的相似点,意在略论伍尔芙一生的悲剧对她塑造人物形象时的巨大作用。

Virginia Woolf,one of the greatest women writers in the history of English literature, is honored as the vanguard of modernism and feminism in twentieth century. Also Woolf is recognized by all over the world as one of the creative masters of stream of consciousness who dedicated all her life to write. At the same time, unfortunately, Woolf suffered from a serious psychosis which finally caused her ended her life in the form of suicide in 1941.And we can say that the madness runs through Woolf’s whole life has the potential impacts on her works that not allow to ignore.
