Abstract:
Though there are lots of researches on the aestheticism and novels of Wilde, those researches on Wilde’s fairy tales are still considerably few at present. By narrating the development of metaphor, this article shows the importance of metaphor both in life and academic researches; metaphors also help Wilde a lot to create his fairy tales. This article helped the readers have a brief understanding of Wilde and his works. In Wilde’s fairy tales, color not only shows a colorful fairy world, but the true inner-world of Wilde. So color metaphors are indispensable in Wilde’s creating of fairy tales. Religion is also important, and religious metaphor could help the author clarify the profound meaning of the fairy tales.

摘要：
当前国内外对王尔德的唯美主义和小说著作的探讨虽然比较多，但在王尔德童话方面隐喻的探讨相对较少。本文通过叙述隐喻的发展，显示了隐喻在生活和学术探讨中的重要性，而隐喻也很好帮助王尔德表达其童话。文章通过简单的介绍王尔德和其著作。而王尔德在其童话故事中，英语论文，颜色不仅仅表现一个缤纷的童话世界，而且显示的是王尔德真实内心的世界。所以颜色隐喻也是王尔德童话中不可缺少的一部分。宗教也同样重要，王尔德通过宗隐喻来帮助其阐述童话中的深刻意义。

1. Introduction
Metaphor is more than a common rhetoric. The use of metaphor not only has the rhetorical function, but is an important way of human thinking. People usually show the concretion and familiarity of things instead of abstraction and complexion. It is a way that people use to know the world. Metaphorical expression can easily be found in fairy tales. The nine short stories in “The Happy Prince and Other Tales” and five in the “A House of Pomegranates” are all great works of Wilde which gained a worldwide reputation. Oscar Wilde's thoughts of art for arts’ sake can be fully expressed in these tales. And those color metaphors used in the tales help us have a better understanding of Wilde. Therefore, this article mainly introduces us a brief analysis of metaphors used in the Wilde’s tales to enable the readers to understand both metaphors and Wilde better.
