Victor Frankenstein researched into the origin of life with incredible enthusiasm, and he finally mastered the key method to create the creature. He wanted to create a new species of human who was perfect in every aspect, but it turned out that the creature was of great stature and with a ferocious look. Frankenstein could not accept the fact that he had created such an ugly monster, so he left the monster alone and ran away. The monster went to a small village and hid into a hut. His neighbour were the De Laceys, including the father, the little sister, the son and his wife. They were descended from a good family in France. When the son taught his wife French, the monster followed them to learn French, culture and knowledge. After having learned human knowledge, the monster felt even more eager to integrate into the human society, to be recognized by people and to live just like an ordinary human being. However, people regarded him as a monster because of his horrible appearance and no one dared to approach him. The desperate monster started to take revenge on his creator and destroyed his family.
