Abstract
The Catcher in the Rye is one of the most famous works of J.D Salinger who is good at creating precocious young people. This book is famous for its fine and smooth description of psychological activities of the hero. It increases infection of the words in this book and make the mental activity more real and vivid. This novel has expressed a strong mood of teenagers’ disagreement and detest to the adults’ hypocritical life. This study focuses on the ambivalence of the hero and analyzes it from Freud personality structure theory. The analysis is performed from three aspects: id, ego and superego. It is expected to help the readers to understand the contradiction between the words and acts of the hero and appeal to the whole society to pay more attention to the teenagers and their growth.

摘 要
《麦田里的守望者》是塞林格的最有名的著作之一。塞林格是一位非常擅长塑造早熟却又与众不同的年轻人形象的作家。这本小说也是因其对主角的细腻且微妙的心理活动的描述而出名，表达了青少年关于成人世界虚伪生活的强烈不满和憎恶。本探讨着重于从弗洛伊德的人格结构学说——本我、自我和超我的角度，英语毕业论文，来略论主角的心理矛盾，希望能够帮助读者更好地理解男主人公的言语及行为上的矛盾，英语论文，并且呼吁全社会关注青少年的生活，关注青少年的成长。

1. Introduction
The Catcher in the Rye is commonly agreed as the most brilliant work of J. D. Salinger. It has received great and last attention from both the general public and the professionals since it was first published. It has a great wide popularity among the adolescents worldwide and enduring sales across the world. This book is once praised as the most outstanding work on the theme of American adolescents. This work has reminded people of one part which is barely noticed by public —the growth of adolescents. In other words, this work reflects an unexpected alienation life of young people which also becomes one of the popular themes after the world warⅡ. As a psychological description-oriented novel, the psychological change of the hero may have the profound influence on readers. So there is no wonder that this book can comfort a generation of hesitant and lost young people.
