Abstract
Beloved is the fifth and also the most successful novel of Toni Morrison who is a well-known American contemporary novelist. She won the 1993 Nobel Prize for literature, which makes her the first black writer and the second American woman writer to enjoy the honor. The publication of Beloved in 1987 really has stirred the literary world. Critics and readers have researched this novel from different angles, however, few have offered a systematic research from the perspective of ecofeminism. So this thesis is mainly aimed to analyze Beloved from the angle of ecofeminism through the detailed analysis of social background, the characteristic and fate of Suggs, Sethe and Denver. Meanwhile, this thesis expects to help readers to understand Beloved and ecofeminism deeply and provide useful suggestions on how to build a harmonious society.

《宠儿》是当代美国著名小说家托妮•莫里森的第五部,也是最成功的一部小说。托尼•莫里森于1993年获得诺贝尔文学奖,成为获此殊荣的第一个非洲裔作家和第二个美国女作家。《宠儿》自1987年出版后即引起了各界的反响,许多文学评论家从不同的角度对这部小说进行探讨,然而,鲜少有人用生态女性主义对该篇小说进行深入略论。因此,英语论文题目,英语论文,本探讨主要从生态女性主义的角度来略论略论《宠儿》—主要从当时社会背景,萨格斯、塞斯和丹芙的性格和命运等方面进行详细略论,以期帮助读者更加深入地理解这部著作和生态女性主义,也为构建和谐社会提供了有益的建议。

1 Introduction
It is acknowledged that Beloved is the masterpiece of Toni Morrison. When the novel was first published, it appeared to win considerable admiration of the critics. A survey of writers and literary critics conducted by The New York Times ranked it as the best work of American fiction of the past 25 years. It garnered 15 of 125 votes, finishing ahead of Don DeLillo’s Underworld, Cormac McCarthy’ s Blood Meridian and John Updike’ s Rabbit Series. Furthermore, Time Magazine included the novel Beloved in its TIME 100 Best English-language Novels from 1923 to 2017.There have been considerable scholars dedicated to the researches of this novel up to now, researches about Beloved mainly focus on the analysis of its controversial theme, poetic language, maternal love, narrative strategy and gothic elements.
