《飘》是美国亚特兰大南部现代女作家玛格丽特.米歇尔于1936年发表的最畅销也是最受读者欢迎的小说。从1926年到1929年,她一直都投身于撰写这部巨作-。这部小说的背景设立在美国独立战争之上。独立战争爆发在1861年并且持续了5年。从1936年到后来的70年,英语论文网站,这部小说不仅在美国获得了成功,而且也轰动了世界。当前,英语毕业论文,这部小说已经在37个国家被翻译成了27种语言,现在《飘》仍然是世界上销量最好的小说之一。本文由背景、斯佳丽、梅兰妮和黑人保姆的性格略论、结论等五部分构成。背景简要介绍作者的生平,以及美国内战的历史。玛格丽特.米歇尔是一个具有女性主义意识的女作家。本文主要略论小说中的女性性格来挖掘出可以被现代女性所用的优点。

Abstract
Gone with the Wind was written by Margaret Mitchell and the novel was published in 1936. The novel was so popular with the readers that it got the best seller. Margaret Mitchell was an American woman writer in the South Atlanta. From 1926 to 1929 she wrote this big work - Gone with the Wind, the novel took her about ten years. She never thought that so many people favor it even by now. The novel sets the background on the American Civil War. The American Civil War was a civil war in the United States of America. It was broke out in 1861 and last for five years. The novel has been one of the bestsellers and most popular with the readers. It is her first and only long novel. In 70 years since 1936, the novel had gotten a great success not only throughout the United States but also around the would. It has been translated into about 27 languages in 37 countries. At present, Gone with the Wind is still one of the best-selling novels in the world. It was considered as a very classic work. The body is made up of five chapters, they are: background, the analysis of Scarlett, the analysis of Melanie, the personality of Mammy and conclusion. The background gives a brief introduction of Margaret Mitchell’s life, the history of the American Civil War. Margaret Mitchell is a woman writer who has strong feminism. This article is to analyze the female characters’ personalities from different aspects and to extract their good qualities which can be learn by modern females.
