摘 要
十九世纪后期,居伊•德•莫泊桑凭借短篇小说<<羊脂球>>一夜成名，成为法国著名的批判现实主义作家，与契诃夫和欧•亨利并列世界三大短篇小说巨匠，英语论文题目，对后世产生极大的作用，被誉为“短篇小说之王”。关于莫泊桑取得如此非凡的成就，形成具备自己风格的讽刺文学的原因，英语论文范文，这篇论文将着重从由莫泊桑根据真实的素材创作的<<羊脂球>>出发，通过<<羊脂球>>的写作背景，艺术写作方式和著作对后世的作用来略论。同时让更多的人从《羊脂球》看到，莫泊桑具有一颗正义的心。在他的众多的著作里，莫泊桑大都把矛头指向当时法国糜烂的资产阶层，用洗练的笔墨揭示资产阶层的卑劣和自私，衬托下层社会的善良和朴实，使读者不得不为莫泊桑的讽刺著作而喝彩。

Abstract
In the late 19th century, Guy de Maupassant winning him overnight fame by the short story Ball-of-Fat, became the famous French writer of critical realism, tied with Chekhov and O. Henry for the three great masters of short stories in the world and influenced on the generation in the future, which was honored as “The King of Short Stories”. This paper will focus on the work of Ball-of-Fat based on real material and created by Maupassant, and analyze the reason why Maupassant could make such remarkable achievement and formed his own style of satire, from the writing background of Ball-of-Fat, writing skills in art and influence on the generation. Meanwhile, it will also be seen to make more people know that Maupassant had a righteous heart from Ball-of-Fat. In his numerous works, Maupassant pointed fingers at the erosion French bourgeoisie then, revealed the despicable and selfish behavior of bourgeoisie and set off the kindness and simplicity of underclass with succinct words, as a consequence, readers cannot help but acclaim the satire of Maupassant.

1 Introduction
Ball-of-Fat, the short novel written by the famous French critical realism writer Guy de Maupassant in 1880, was one of the greatest and most representative works of his, which is well sought after readers all over the world from the past to the present. This story was based on true material and took the Franco-Prussian War as the background, by the means of describing the passengers of a refugee post-chaise, reflecting the attitude of war of all ranks of society in France.
The distinctive difference of this book was that Maupassant chose the prostitute who was in the lowest social position to be the positive character of this story. “In the novel of Ball-of-Fat, Maupassant options a prostitute as a heroine of the novel by acting out of the traditional artistic creation, making the prostitute as a positive character to praise and in the meanwhile put up the so-called upper class people as a negative character to lash.” said by Sun Yue. He put forth effort to describe the characters’ inner world and let heroines show that different people with different social status have various moral concepts always pursuing different goal of life. |
