摘 要
威廉•福克纳，美国南方文学的领头羊之一，西方文学界被誉为“经典的现代作家”。《喧哗与骚动》是威廉•福克纳的第四部小说，也是他第一部成熟的代表作，被认为是他最好的著作之一。《喧哗与骚动》发生在虚构的约克纳帕法特郡，小说致力于描写前南方贵族康普森一家在家族的衰落与荣誉中的挣扎。在《喧哗与骚动》中，过去通常通过三个主要叙述现在的思绪来得以体现。他们是班吉，昆丁和杰生。小说中并没有独立的章节来展现凯蒂的生活，来表达凯蒂的思想，来述说凯蒂的悲剧。但是每个叙述者的叙述都与她有关系，凯蒂是这部小说被隐匿了的中心角色。本文将在前人探讨的基础上，力图以一种全新的女性视角，英语论文，英语毕业论文，去感悟凯蒂的缄默与缺席，连缀起与凯蒂有关的信息，寻找凯蒂悲剧的真正成因，重现一个完整真实的凯蒂。

Abstract
William Faulkner, one of the leading writers of South American Literature, is honoured as a canonical modernist writer in Western Literatures. The Sound and the Fury is William Faulkner’s fourth novel, also his first mature representative work, is considered to be one of his finest work. The Sound and the Fury is took place in fictional Yoknapatawpha County. The novel focuses on the Compson family, former Southern aristocrats who are struggling to deal with the dissolution of the family and its reputation. In The Sound and the Fury, the past frequently intrudes upon the present in the minds of three central characters who each narrate part of the novel. They are Benjy, Quentin, and Jason. There is no separate chapter to demonstrate Caddy’s life, to express Caddy’s thoughts, to declare Caddy’s tragedy. But all the narration of the three narrators is connected with her. Caddy is the missing center of this novel. This paper will base on the previous study, try to use a new female perspective to understand Caddy’s silence and absent, make sense of snippets of Caddy, analysis in details, seek the fundamental reason of Caddy’s tragedy, reappear a complete and authentic image of Caddy.
