Abstract: The thesis is concerned with the contribution and incorporation of the teaching of culture into the foreign language culture. At the same time, some contents of cultural teaching are listed. It will be demonstrated that teaching a foreign language is not tantamount to giving a homily on syntactic structures or learning new vocabulary and expressions, but mainly incorporates, or should incorporate some cultural elements, which are intertwined with language itself.  Furthermore, an attempt will be made to incorporate culture into the classroom by means of considering some techniques and methods currently used. The main premis of the paper is that effective communication is more than a matter of language proficiency and that, apart from enhancing and enriching communicative competence, cultural competence can also lead to empathy and respect toward different cultures as well as promote objective and perspicacity .

一 Introduction
It has become axiomatic to state that there exists a close relationship between language and culture. The language is a carrier of the culture. The course studying of a foreign language is the course understanding and grasping of target’s national culture background knowledge. Knowing the degree of target’s national culture background knowledge influences the ability of using a person’s language knowledge directly. It is the prerequisite of using the language properly. It is very difficult to imaging that one lacking culture of background language for target country can carry on normal communication with people. At present, the knowledge of culture background of English country has been put into English teaching material of junior middle school. Make every effort to teach culture knowledge imperceptibly in the culture of language teaching. Let students experience the culture atomosphere of English country unconsciously. This requires the teacher to combine language teaching and culture teaching together organically too, and train students to use the ability of the language in terms of cross-cultural communication.
二 The reasons of cultural teaching
To know another culture is a rather difficult job. To act and behave appropriately in another culture is a more demanding task. It is even claimed that a satisfactory fufilment of this task about 20 years of time (Nida and JEL correspondent 1998). Keeping this in mind and also realizing the facilitating role of cultural knowledge in language learning. We will briefly discuss the relationship between culture and language teaching here. Principally, there are following reasons for us to teaching culture in our language class.
1 Cultural difference is the barrier of the cross-cultural communication.
In our country, the hot rise of culture in the foreign language teaching was in the eighties of the 20th century. Its outstanding characteristic is that it closely linked with modernization drive of china and reform and opening up of china. The modernized process accelerates the circulation of spirit and physical product and bring each nationality into a common “global village’’ Cross-cultural communication becomes the indispensable part in life of each nationality. But the cultural difference is an obstacle of cross-cultural communication. The problem that the whole world faces is to overcome communication obstacle causing by cultural difference.
