Abstract：In order to do a good translation of business English, it is quite necessary to master some of its features. The paper discusses three features of exactness,/英语论文 succinctness, and appropriateness, and it is to a large extent the special attributes of business English itself that determines the features of its translation.

1. Introduction
Globalization has gained its momentum in the 21stcentury.Against this background, international business prospers. “Never before in history has the business arena portrayed such global qualities”(Samovar2017).
The paper discusses the main features of business English translation from three aspects: exactness, succinctness, and appropriateness
2 . Exactness
Generally speaking, business English requires a much higher degree of fidelity than literary translation. Exactness is in fact the most important feature in business English translation.
2.1 At the Level of Vocabulary
2.1.1 Strict Choice of Words and Expressions
Business English covers many fields. Any arbitrary translation or coinage of terminologies can only destroy the exactness of translation and cause confusions.
The only way to correctly employ these words is to make a strict differentiation. For example, the word “discount” can mean “折扣” in commerce, “贴现” in banking, and “折价” in stock exchange etc.
2.1.2Concretization and Repetition
Business English translation has distinctive methods to make sure the precise transmission of the kind of important information like time, price, quantity, and quality of goods. The translation of “ 六月上旬 ”, for example, is usually “within the first 10 days of June” rather than “in early June”. Even colours have set expressions in business English translation. The word “red” is often replaced by “tangerine”, “orange”, “strawberry”, “rose” etc (谭慧娟 1996) .
Another usual practice is repetition. In business English translation, repetition will make the translation version sound more rigorous. For instance,“无效 ”equals “null and void”, “同一个” should be “one and the same”.
2.2 at the Sentence and Discourse Level
2.2.1 Explicit Reference
Business documents will involve all kinds of business relationships. It’s essential to make clear each party’s responsibilities.
原文：当事人一方违约后，英语论文题目，对方应当采取适当方法防止损失扩大，没有采取适当方法致使损失扩大的，英语论文，不得就扩大的损失要求赔偿。
译文： …If the other party does not take such measures, thus resulting in the expanding of the loss, the party that breaks the contract shall not compensate for the expanded loss (彭萍 2017).
In this example, the English translation makes explicit reference to the parties concerned by adding the subjects omitted in the Chinese version.
2.2.2 Understanding the Connotation of the Discourse
原文：这些金融机构均在此设有分支机构
译文：The financial institutions all maintain their affiliated organizations here.
The notion of “affiliated organizations” doesn’t mean exactly the same as “ 分 支 机 构 ” in the original sentence. Rather it implies that those organizations are subordinate to the financial institutions.
3 Succinctness
Business English translation is also characterized by succinctness. It is largely determined by the main goal of business English translation, namely, the precise and efficient transmission of information.
