1.1 Need for the Study
In current situation, negative transfer of syntax has drawn more and more attention in thesecond language acquisition, and the theory of language transfer is widely used in study thesyntax of second language, especially negative transfer of syntax is seen as the barrier orobstacle for the learners in the second language learning. It is a more serious problem thatinfluences the second language learners to get target language. The focus on the acquisition ofsecond language leads to more studies of language transfer of native. There has been the studyin language transfer for centuries, some concern with the transfer of positive aspects and somestudy language transfer from negative aspects, as for negative transfer of syntax, mostresearchers pay attention to college or university students in vocabularies, culture, social andother areas that are influenced by native language. However, the second language learners injunior high-school are seldom touched in the field of negative transfer of syntax of nativelanguage. The negative transfer in syntactical level of the students in junior high-schoolshould be put into the center topic, because it is a crucial period for the second languagelearners to accumulate English knowledge in syntax. However, the syntactic differencesbetween native language and target language always cause the syntactic errors in the secondlanguage learning, it is more practical for the researchers and scholars to seek the efficientstrategies to reduce the negative transfer in syntactic level, if not, the students may experiencea more difficult time to pursue target language without better foundation of knowledge ofsecond language in syntax. It is needed for the researchers and scholars to explore negativetransfer in syntactical level in more deep layers.

1.2.1 The Purpose of the Study
As illustrated above, the second language learners in junior high-school face lots ofdifficulties in dealing with negative transfer factors in syntax of native language in the secondlanguage acquisition, so analysis syntactic errors and seek the better and efficient strategies toreduce the influence of native language in syntax is needed. this paper is designed to studysyntactic errors and effecting factors of negative transfer in syntactical level of Chinese on thesecond language learners by analyzing syntactic errors made by the students in juniorhigh-school in subject and predicate, there be structure, object, adjective and adverbial in thecompositions and translations, meanwhile, The writer proposes to decrease the negativetransfer of syntax by some efficient strategies and this thesis also gives the second languageteachers and learners revelation to emphasize the importance of syntactic teaching andlearning and to seek more efficient strategies to decrease the negative transfer of syntax insecond language learning.
