摘要
灾难观是人类对自然或人为灾害系统所持有的看法和观点，它随着人类社会的进步不断调整和变化，其发展过程中产生的文化内涵构成了不同社会背景下的不同社会价值观。由于东西方文化背景的异同，英语论文范文，东西方文化价值体系中的灾难观也有着不同的呈现方式。本文从荷兰社会人文学家霍夫斯塔德于1980年提出的的文化维度概念出发，以克拉克洪-斯托特贝克构架中的“与环境的联系”、“时间取向”、 “人的本质”和“责任中心”为探讨基本点（Kluckhohn, F. R., & F. L. Strodtbeck，1961），通过探讨东西方的灾难纪实和相关影视文学著作对比略论东西方文化灾难观有以下方面差异：
1. 东西方面对灾难时的价值观体现了不同的对环境的态度
2. 东西方的灾难观呈现了不同的时间取向，但同样也存在相似处
3. 东西方社会对灾难的认识和应对反应了不同的人的本质
4. 东西方对灾难的应对方式体现了个人主义与集体主义的不同
本次探讨以科学的理论为依据，通过不同角度的例证对比略论总结整理出东西方的灾难观差异，英语论文网站，对深刻理解东西方文化内涵和促进东西方的跨文化交流有着重要的意义。

Abstract
View on disasters is a kind of social value orientation which is people’s perspective towards natural and human-made calamity. This view adjusts and changes itself with the pace of the development of human society. During its development, different social cultural values come into being under different social backgrounds. The disaster views in eastern and western countries also have different modes of presentation because of different cultural backgrounds. This thesis is based on the concept of culture dimension raised by Dutch anthropologist, Geert Hofstede（1980） and it takes the aspects of “relationship to the environment”, “time orientations”, “man orientations” and “focus of responsibility” in the Framework of Kluckhohn—Strodtbeck（Kluckhohn, F. R., & F. L. Strodtbeck，1961） as basic points of the research. By contrasting and analyzing relevant decuments, films and literary works, similarities and differences between them are discovered as followed:
1. Different attitudes towards the environment are reflects by contrasting eastern and western values on disasters
2. Eastern and western societies refer to different periods while facing disasters, where similarities can also be found
3. Different human natures and beliefs of humanity can be reflected by contrasting disaster views in east and west
4. Collectivism and Individualism are different focuses of responsibilities in eastern and western societies while facing disasters
Based on scientific throeies, this research summarizes the similarities and differences of disaster views in east and west by illustarting in different angles, which is of great significance of helping understand eastern and western culture and promoting the intercultural communication
