摘要
高高耸立的教堂是西方中世纪城市景观的象征，是一座城市的最高建筑，这种城市人文景观一直保持到19世纪中叶。第一次世界大战之后，世界经济重心从欧洲移转至美国，英语论文范文，至1929年经济大恐慌是美国建筑的繁荣期，摩天大楼也随着美国经济而快速发展。纽约、芝加哥、洛杉矶、旧金山等等，这些美国著名的大都市，孕育了摩天大楼绚丽灿烂的文化。
但是自从进入21世纪以来，亚洲新兴国家的经济实力逐渐抬头，超高摩天大楼的排行榜，也从原来的美洲独霸，转移到亚美争锋。尤其是在在中国，随着经济的快速持续的发展，主要城市几乎都在新建各式的摩天大楼。这其中以上海、广州、香港等城市最为明显，中国的正以雄伟挺拔的摩天大楼向世界展示其不断强大的经济力量。
论文主要研讨摩天文化在两国的发展及各方面的作用，全面对比中美两国在摩天大楼发展中的差异，为今后中国未来摩天大楼的建设起到启示及借鉴影响。

Abstract
Towering church is the symbol of western urban landscape in the Middle Ages, and it is the highest building in the city while this urban landscape has been remained to the 19th century. After the First World War, the center of the world economic transferred from Europe to the United States. It is the flourishing time for American architecture before economic crisis in 1929, and the skyscrapers developed quickly with the development of American economy. The well-known cities such as New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco make the skyscraper culture gorgeous and splendid.
But since the start of the 21st century, the economic strength of emerging Asian countries has become stronger, and the spearhead ranking of these skyscrapers has transferred from American monopolization to competition between America and Asia. Especially for China, with the rapid and sustained economic development, almost all major Chinese cities are building new kinds of skyscrapers. This is obvious in cities such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and so on. China is laying out its more and more strong economic power with towering skyscrapers.
This paper focuses on the influence that the culture of skyscrapers has on the development of the two countries, and also it focuses on the difference between China and America in the development of skyscrapers. This paper aims to be useful for reference and inspiring for Chinese skyscrapers in the future.
