摘 要
跨文化交际是指本族语者与非本族语者之间的交际, 也指任何在语言和文化背景方面有异同的人们之间的交际,英语论文,是第二语言学习不可分割的组成部分。不同文化背景造成人们说话方式或习惯不同, 从而产生理解上的冲突和矛盾。而现在随着网络的普及,它们越来越多的是用于人际交往,即以计算机为中介的网络交际或简称网络交际。跨文化交际的发生比以前任何时候都要容易和频繁。
基于网络的即时通讯手段,如即时消息,视频通话,以及非即时通讯手段,如电子邮件,使得在校学生在平时生活中有了更多学习外语的机会,也同时大量的接触到了跨文化交际的情形。不同形式的网络交际关于学生提高自己外语使用能力和文化敏感度有怎样的不同,什么手段关于学生的外语能力培养最有帮助?这样的探讨非常实际也十分必要。
本文略论了网络视频通话,即时消息和电子邮件作为即时通讯和非即时通讯的三种典型的代表,对学院生外语能力培养的作用。本文的探讨关于了解网络交际关于学院生跨文化交际的作用有十分重要的意义。

ABSTRACT
Cross-cultural communication means the communication between the non-native language speaker and the native language speaker. It also refers to the Communication between people of different language and cultural background. It is an integral part of second language learning. Different cultural backgrounds lead to different custom and habits, resulting conflict and contradiction in the understanding. Now with the popularity of the network, Cross-cultural communication is used more interpersonal through the internet. The cross-cultural communication occurs much more frequent and easier.
Web-based synchronous communication, such as instant message, video conference, as well as asynchronous communication, such as e-mail, give university students more opportunities for learning foreign languages, at the same time create a lot of cross-cultural communication circumstances. What are the differences among different forms of Computer-mediated communication in improving students’ ability to use foreign languages and developing cultural sensitivity? What’s the best form for students to learn a foreign language? Studies on such topic are both necessary and meaningful.
This paper analyses the video conference, instant message, and e-mail as three typical representatives of computer-mediated communication method. It aims at finding out what impact computer-mediated communication has on foreign language learning. This study helps to understand the impact of network on college students’ second language learning and cross-cultural communication.
