摘 要
语言是人类最重要的交际工具。它与思想有着密切的联系，是人类区别于其他动物的本质特征。其作为反映现实社会的工具，本身不带任何偏见，因而不会歧视某一性别。但是由于文化的异同，语言作为人类思想的载体、思维的工具，不可避免地折射出现在社会的价值观、宗教信仰、人们的思维观念、行为习惯，英语毕业论文，折射了社会生活的各个侧面。语言歧视现象表现在人们生活的各个方面，深刻地作用了一个民族的思维观念和行为方式。本文将通过充分的例证，试从多方面略论性别歧视在英语中的表现及其产生根源。即从异同或歧视产生的原因入手，主要略论男性与女性之间的差别。以及略论前人的探讨成果，从而表明自己的对文化中出现的异同和歧视的态度。这样便能从某种程度上消除男女之间的异同或者歧视。本探讨试图证明：那些试图通过改变语言符号而达到消除性别歧视的努力是徒劳的，只有消除语言使用者观念中的歧视女性心理才能从根本上消除语言歧视。

Abstract
Language is the most important tool for communication of human being. It has close relationship with thought, and it is the substantive characteristics which is different from other animals. As language is a tool of reflecting the reality of our society, it does not have any prejudice, so it will not have sexism in the society. Because of the difference of culture, and the culture to be a symbol system and a kind of social phenomenon, the language is to be the carrier of human thought, a kind of thinking tools, inevitably reflects the social values, religious beliefs, the ideas of thinking about the human being, and the habit of behavior, which reflects all the aspects of social life. Language discrimination reflects in all aspects of human beings’ life, it has a profound influence on a nation's idea of thinking and their behaviors. This paper will use a lot of examples to analyze variously gender discrimination’s performance in English and its original causes. Namely, from the perspective of the differences and the causes of discrimination, we mainly analyze the difference between men and women. As well as the analysis of the predecessors' research results, which showed my attitude to the discrimination and the differences of gender. It can eliminate the differences between men and women or discrimination to some degrees. This research attempts to prove that those efforts are in vain to try to change the language symbols to eliminate gender discrimination, but can only fundamentally eliminate language discrimination by eliminating the language users concept of the discrimination against women.

1 Introduction
This paper is to analysis the sexual differentiation and sexism in English language. And because of the history, the differences between male and female are existed a long time. In the period of using English, male had the larger power. The sexism in English mainly reflects in looking down upon female, ignoring female’s social position and using language to slander the female. And with the development of Women’s Liberation in the world since the 1970s, the society has undergone a revolution of reforming the English language into an equal and unbiased one. Many scholars and sociologists try to analyze women’s way of using language and make comparison between the two genders. Such famous linguistists as Peter Trudgill, Robin Lakoff, Don Zimmerman and Candace West have exerted a great influence on the study in this field. It’s well recognized that there are great gender differences in almost every language and culture in the world. Following are the methods of doing research.
