Italso has become one of the most important areas of the educational reform. In this sense,the era has entrusted to university EFL teachers a grand and irreplaceable mission ofimproving national linguistic quality and continuing to implement the Strategy ofSustainable Development.Technologically, in the meantime, the rapid advancement of network technology,represented by the development of web 2.0 framework, has brought the human beings intothe colorful informational society where the application of information technology hasbeen seen in every corner of social life. Likewise, it has exerted unprecedented impact onhigher education as well as university teachers’ professional development. Web 2.0 takesthe network as a platform for information sharing, interoperability, user-centered designand collaboration on the World Wide Web. Examples of Web 2.0, including social networking sites, blogs, wikis, video sharing sites, hosted services and folksonomies, allowusers to interact and collaborate with each other in a social media dialogue as creators ofuser-generated content in a virtual community, in contrast to websites where users arelimited to the passive viewing of content that was created for them.
