摘要
后人称王维为诗佛，对王维的诗歌评价颇高。王维的诗惯于托物言志,在诗中勾勒出一些意象, 留给读者一个充满想象和审美的空间。王维诗歌中出现过很多意象，如“山”，“水”，“夕阳”，“鸣”，“柳”等。国内外学者从各个角度对王维的意象进行颇有深度与见解的探讨，但是并没有系统地对王维诗歌中的意象进行分类，而且关于翻译策略各有说法。诗歌意象的翻译策略至今都是争论焦点。
本文以国内外意象理论以及两大翻译策略-异化与归化理论为理论依据，英语论文，采用描述性翻译探讨思路，应用文本略论和文化略论相结合的探讨措施，对王维诗歌中的意象进行进一步的了解，并探究出合适的翻译策略。首先，选取王维的部分诗歌，把诗中的意象，根据人的五感为基本标准，分成视觉式视象，听觉式音象和感觉式的象征意象，阐述每个意象的含义及其特点。然后从异化、归化论的角度，英语论文，通过比较略论王维部分著作的英译文本，略论所出现的意象文化内涵在英译过程中的转换问题。最后探究出一个相对合理和科学的翻译措施,使原著和译文能有机地结合起来。本文不仅是对王维诗歌意象及其翻译策略先行探讨的整合，也对诗歌译文欣赏提供了新的见解。

Abstract
Descendants think highly of Wang Wei’s poetry, calling him as “Poet Buddha”. Wang Wei usually used various kinds of images to convey his subjective mood. And the images which contain beautiful visual effect, fine auditory effect and symbolic implicated meanings leave readers some space to imagination and appreciation. There are plenty of images appeared in Wang Wei’s poems like “mount”,“water”,“sunset”,“twitter”,“willow”. Many scholars had profound studies on poetic images of Wang Wei’ from different perspectives, but there is not any systematic classification about images of Wang Wei’s poems. As to the translation strategy in the translation of images, it is still controversial in translation circles---foreignization or domestication.
This paper, based on the theory of poetic images at home and abroad and the theories of foreignization and domestication as theoretical foundation, using search methods of combining text analysis and cultural analysis, mainly has a further understanding to images in Wang Wei’s poems, and what is more, explores a proper translation strategy. It first gives a brief introduction to the background of the study at home and abroad; then it classifies the images in several poems chosen, into three categories, visual images, auditory images and symbolic images. After the classification, this paper compares and analyzes several translations done by famous masters to explore their choices of translation strategy- domestication or foreignization. At last, it puts forwards that foreignization is an ideal strategy in the most of poetic images translation. However in the translation of natural images both exist at home and abroad, foreignization and domestication are both ok.
The result of this thesis will be a pre-research integration on the study of poetic image and its translation in Wang Wei’s poems and be able to provide some reference for the analysis and appreciation of English versions of Wang Wei’s poems.
