Abstract
In recent years, due to people’s increasing enthusiasm in participating in public life, a large quantity of Chinese new words with its cultural information, have sprung up and embodied in our social life. Meanwhile, the network media, playing a critical role in which some Chinese new words are translated into English, provides convenience for both foreign Chinese learners and domestic English fans. Among them, China Daily is the most influential English portal website. Thus, practical samples of Chinese new words are collected from this trusted source.
In this thesis, the research, guided by the perspective of eco-translatology, has mainly discussed the English translation of Chinese new words from two aspects: translating as a purposeful activity and translator-centeredness. Furthermore, the thesis has introduced three main translation approaches: literal translation, free translation, and transliteration. Combining with the practical study and obtaining the best possible translation, the study results have let readers understand the words’ meanings accurately, and have achieved the purpose of successful communication and promoted cultural exchanges between China and the rest of the world through removing communication barriers as much as possible.

摘要
近年来,由于人们参与公共生活的积极性提高,传达着丰富汉语文化信息的新词大量出现,成为了我们当今社会重要的组成部分。与此同时,大众传播媒介如网络媒体已将一些汉语新词翻译成了英文,供国外汉语学习者和国内英语爱好者参考与学习。其中,《中国日报》是最具作用力的英文门户网站。因此,《中国日报》作为了本文汉语新词英译实例收集的来源。
本文以生态翻译学理论为指导,英语论文范文,主要从生态翻译学中“译有所为”和“译者中心”两个方面对汉语新词英译进行了研讨。所有语料来自对《中国日报》的实例探讨,以保证新词翻译的准确性和权威性。同时,本文介绍了三种新词翻译中常用的翻译措施,英语论文,即直译,意译和音译。本探讨旨在使读者能够准确理解词义,达到成功交际的目的,并尽可能地消除交流过程中的障碍以促进中外文化交流。
