Abstract
Translation is not only a science, but also an art, which covers knowledge in many different fields. Literature translation can promote cultural communication, stir up readers' emotions, and mirror the society. Being an innovation in literary works, the stream-of-consciousness novel features unconventional writing techniques, like free association, interior monologue and irrational narrative perspective. William Faulkner, one of the well-known writers who are skillful at writing this type of novel, innovates many writing techniques that are regarded as incentives to the development of the stream-of-consciousness novel. However, the translation of this kind of novel has not reached a high level, since its unconventional writing style sometimes impedes translators to produce a faithful, expressive and elegant translated version.
This thesis, comprising three parts, aims to analyze stream of consciousness in Faulkner's As I Lay Dying and its translation produced by Li Wenjun. Li is a famous translator who is famous for his proficiency in translating American literary works, especially Faulkner's masterpieces. The first part introduces the definition, development, and features of stream of consciousness. In the second part, the thesis presents As I Lay Dying from three aspects: the author, the story and the translator. In the last part, through comparing the original and translated version of some segments in the novel, narrative perspectives and their translation techniques in As I Lay Dying are analyzed.

摘 要
翻译是一门科学，也是一种艺术，它涵盖了很多领域的知识。文学翻译能促进文化交流、让读者产生共鸣并反映出社会近况。作为是一种文学形式上的创新，意识流小说以非常规的写作手法为特点，如：自由联想、内心独白和非理性叙述角度。威廉•福克纳是著名的意识流小说家，他在写作技巧上的创新是推动意识流小说发展的强大动力。然而，针对这一类型小说的翻译并未达到一个较高的水平，因为其非常规的写作风格往往会使译者很难译出忠实原文、通顺流畅且措辞优美的译文。
本文分为三个部分，目的在于略论福克纳《我弥留之际》原著中的意识流，以及李文俊对其所做的翻译。李文俊是著名翻译家，以翻译美国文学著作，英语论文范文，英语论文题目，特别是福克纳的小说而著称。论文第一部分简要介绍了意识流的定义、发展及其特点。第二部分从作者、故事梗概和译者这三方面介绍了《我弥留之际》。最后一部分通过对比原文和李文俊的译文片段，略论了《我弥留之际》中叙事手法的翻译技巧。
