摘要
随着美国情景喜剧《生活大爆炸》在中国的热播，越来越多的中国观众被其独特喜剧幽默的剧情所吸引并希望通过剧中的日常对话了解美国普通人的生活方式及其文化。但关于母语非英语的中国观众而言，则必须靠字幕来了解其剧情和文化生活方式。而由于依据的翻译理论不同，翻译出的字幕千差万别，就很可能使观众误解剧中的跨文化信息。德国功能翻译理论作为重要的翻译理论之一，非常重视跨文化意识在翻译中的运用。本篇论文将以此理论为基础，对《生活大爆炸》的字幕翻译作深入的研讨。
本论文共包括四个部分。第一部分文献综述，对德国功能翻译理论的背景，概念，英语论文，以及主要准则作相应的介绍。第二部分总结美剧的语言特点和字幕翻译特点。第三部分作为本论文的主体部分将着重探讨德国功能翻译理论在《生活大爆炸》的字幕翻译中的运用。通过对此剧的翻译者和接受者的略论，以目的法则为基础，结合具体实例和相关翻译策略，英语论文范文，对此剧的字幕翻译作深入的研讨。第四部分是对整篇论文作出总结，并提出以后的探讨方向。

Abstract
With the broadcast of American teleplays The Big Bang Theory, many Chinese audiences are attracted by its comedic and humorous scene. At the same time, they want to know about American culture and living styles through these characters’ dialogues in the play. To Chinese audiences, it is necessary to understand this play through its Chinese subtitles. However, there are many translation theories, and the subtitles may be very different according to different theories. This may make the Chinese audiences misunderstand the cross-cultural information. German functionalist translation theory attaches great importance to the cross-cultural information. Hence, this paper studies the Chinese subtitles of The Big Bang Theory based on this theory.
This paper includes four sections. The first part is literature review, which introduces the background, conception and main principles of the German functionalist translation theory. The second part focuses on the language features and subtitle translation of American teleplays. In the third part of this paper, also the most important part, the author studies the application of German functionalist translation theory to the translation of The Big Bang Theory. In this part, the author analyses the feature of translator and receiver, and use skopos rule to study the subtitles with representative examples and concrete translation strategies. The last part is conclusion, which summarizes the research achievements from the previous study and advances the future research directions.
