摘要
双关语是运用较广泛的修辞手法之一。本文主要研讨了英汉双关语的对比与翻译。本文从双关语在日常生活中的广泛应用入手，引出对于双关语的论述。文章的第二部分简要论述了英汉双关语的定义和功能，从而使读者对双关语有个初步的了解。本文的第三部分简要介绍了英汉双关语的分类，英语论文范文，然后再对英汉双关语进行比较，指出两者的相同性和异同性。第四部分再由两者的异同性引出对双关语翻译的两种不同的观点—可译性和不可译性，并分别从不同方面对两者进行论述。由于异同性的存在，英汉双关语的翻译存在很多难点，本文在第五部分就这部分进行论述，英语论文题目，并针对难点提出英汉双关语翻译的常用措施。本文通过五部分，对英汉双关语及其翻译进行了简要的论述。

Abstract
Pun is one of the widely used figures of speech. The paper talks about the comparison and translation between English pun and Chinese pun. With talking about the wide use of pun in daily life, the paper leads to the description of pun. In the second part of the paper, definitions and functions of pun are mentioned, so readers can have an initial knowledge of pun. In the third part, the paper talks about the classification of English pun and Chinese pun, and then compares them and points out the similarities and differences between them. And then, in the fourth part, following the differences, two contrast views about the translation between English pun and Chinese pun are talked about. They are translatability and untranslatability. Both of the two opinions are discussed from different aspects. Because of the differences, it’s very difficult to translate between English pun and Chinese pun. The paper discusses this question in the fifth part, and comes up with some translation methods which are used widely. The whole paper introduces both of English pun and Chinese pun as well as the translation between them through five parts.

1. Introduction
In the world all languages have pun, which is to use a word or words to get two meanings, literal meaning and connotation meaning. The use of puns can add more interest to the text. People can easily find puns when reading, watching TV programs, especially in advertisements. Pun is widely used both in English and Chinese, however, there are many differences between English pun and Chinese pun. They are not absolutely the same.
