摘 要
诗词被誉为最古老，最精炼的文学形式。而古诗词的翻译在其演化过程中也衍生了大量规范和评价诗词翻译的相关理论。本论文以李清照古词为例略论古诗词的翻译技巧，英语论文，推广中国的古诗词文化。因为翻译不仅涉及语言问题，也涉及文化问题。译者不仅要了解外国的文化，还要深入了解自己民族的文化。所以本论文将先简单介绍中国古诗词的时代背景，再以李清照的生活背景以及她的个人经历来略论她的诗词特点，并根据诗词特点来探索翻译技巧。此外，本文还总结出四大点翻译时应该注意的事项，以便可以更好地达到严复先生提出的“信、达、雅”的标准。通过查阅大量李清照的古诗词译本，英语毕业论文，学习探讨翻译理论，并通过对同篇古诗词的各个翻译译本进行细读、对比，从各个译本中提炼出适用的翻译措施。

Abstract
As one of the most ancient, primitive and universal gender of literature, poetry deserves the privilege of being the most refined and delicate literary forms. And a lot of informative and inspirational theories emerged in the evaluations of the translation of ancient poetry. This paper will take Li Qingzhao’s Ci for example to study the translation skills of ancient poetry, and extend Chinese culture. Translating consists in reproducing in the receptor language the closest natural equivalent of the source-language message, first in terms of meaning and secondly in terms of style. So the translator should not only know the culture of foreign countries, but also master the local culture. This paper will begin with the briefly introduction about that background of ancient poetry time. Then the thesis moves in the study of Li Qingzhao’s poetry through her personal experience. In addition, this paper also enlisted four major points one should pay attention to when he or she doing translating. Only by doing so can one’s work meets the translation master YanFu’s “triple principle of translation” (faithfulness, expressiveness, elegance). At last section, the paper deeps into analyzing translation skills of ancient poetry according to the features of Li Qingzhao’s poetry. This paper mainly adopts documental method, comparative method, inductive method and Citing method to finish the study work.

1 Introduction
It is important to extend Chinese traditional culture to the western, and to improve the quality of translation of ancient Chinese poetry. This paper will show something about ancient Chinese poetry firstly. Before the translating, translator must know the background of the poem. This section will show the culture and live of Song dynasty, and also introduce the background and personal experience of Li Qingzhao.
1.1 Background
At the beginning of the thesis is an introduction of the topic. It includes two parts, the introduction and the significance. Of course, as the paper is taking Li Qingzhao’s Ci for example, this part need refer to the lifetime of Li Qingzhao. The information is the foundation of the paper. Then this part will write the significance of this topic to explain the importance of this thesis.
