摘 要
习语是一个民族的语言和文化的重要组成部分,英语论文题目,一个民族中言简意赅、约定俗成的表达方式。它积淀了一个民族的文化,折射出其历史、地理、宗教、风俗习惯、人文思想以及生产、生活实践的方方面面。本文对习语的概念和分类进行了探讨,而且略论了不同中西文化下的文化异同,以及不同文化下的习语翻译,同时展示了不同视野下的相似点与不同点,例如生活环境,社会习俗,宗教。论文采用文献探讨法、描述性探讨法等探讨措施, 能够让人们更加准确如实地去读懂作者的意图, 以便于更好的理解。本文着重强调,英语论文范文,习语翻译不仅是发生于两种语言之间的一项实践活动,其更是所涉及的两种文化之间的一种交流。习语翻译的目的是促进文化交流。

Abstract
Idioms are the important part of language and culture of people. They are the crystallization of a culture, which condense the culture of a nature and reflect its geography, history, religion, ideology, customs and practice in life and work. This thesis has made a study on the definition and classification of idioms, and analyzed the cultural differences between east and west, and the influence of Chinese and Western culture on idiom translation. In this paper, the author shows the similarities and differences in many aspects, such as living environment, social customs, religious and history. According to all these similarities and differences, this thesis has listed out some methods such as literature research, descriptive research, etc. These methods can make it easy for people in both cultures to well understand the author’s intention. Besides, it can promote the communication and understandings of all nations well. This thesis emphasizes that idiom translation is more a process that happens between two different cultures than one that happens between two languages. And the ultimate purpose of translation is to promote inter-culture communication.

1 Introduction
Nowadays, with the rapid development of political and economic cooperation between different nations, the world is changing and taking on a new look with each passing day. Translation, which serves as the bridge of cross-culture communication, plays a more important role than ever before. Different ethnic groups live in different geographical environment, climate and social systems, and gradually form the different cultural traditions, local customs and practices and social habits. Language, as one way to learn the world, is inevitably own its obvious national features. Each language has different kinds of idioms, these idioms are carrying cultural characteristics and cultural information of different nations, which have a strong national color. It is an important part of a nation’s language and culture. China and England, with long histories and splendid cultures, have a large number of idioms. These idioms reflect the nation’s comprehension and judgment on the world, life and all kinds of things in life. “Idioms usually carry more impact than non-idiomatic expression because of their identification with a particular language and culture” (Nida,E.A.,1993). This paper analyzes the definition of the English and Chinese idioms, the classification of the idioms, and examines the cultural differences between east and west, which plays an important role in translating idioms, then put forward some methods of dealing with cultural differences in idiom translation.
