摘要
色彩与人类生活息息相关，是人类认识世界的一个重要领域。因为诸多因素的作用，汉英两种语言中色彩词的用法各异，汉英民族的颜色观也有所不同。随着中西文化交流的不断深入，人们已经认识到具有深刻文化内涵的基本颜色词不可避免地成为跨文化交际中的一个障碍。因此探讨英语和汉语基本颜色词的文化内涵具有一定的现实意义。本文以红色为例，略论了其在英汉语言中的文化异同和翻译技巧，希望通过本文的探讨，能够帮助读者更好的理解红色的文化内涵，英语论文，同时加深对中西文化异同的认识。
本文简单介绍了论文的探讨背景，写作意义及探讨方向。论文略论了颜色词的文化异同及其原因，英语论文范文，本章首先介绍了颜色词的文化异同，如习俗和信仰，感觉与情绪，社会和政治体系的不同；其次从不同的观点、历史和地理背景，以及不同的社会习俗等方面略论了以上异同产生的原因。论文对比了红色在中英文化中的异同，首先在中国文化中，红色象征着吉祥，顺利和成功，青春与健康，繁荣和活力，另外也代表了革命和社会主义；在西方文化中，红色则往往于暴力和流血、激进和革命、危险和紧张、奢侈和淫秽还有经济衰退相关系。最后，作者提出了一些在对红色的翻译中常见的措施，对等翻译、词的转换、增词法以及释义法。最后一部分是对本文探讨内容的一个总结。

Abstract
Color has a close relationship with human life and is an important field in the human vision sensation. Owing to kinds of factors, the usage of color term between Chinese and English is totally different and the opinions on the colors are different in the nationality between Chinese and English. With the in-depth exchange of Chinese and Western cultures, more and more people are becoming aware of that the basic color terms with the deep culture meaning have become an obstacle to communicate across the culture with people inescapably. As for this reason, it is a real meaning to study the culture connotation of the basic color term between Chinese and English. Taking red an example, this paper analyzes the cultural differences of “红” in Chinese and “red” in English and the translation techniques are examined, with an intention to obtain a good understanding of the meaning of red and reinforce the understanding of cultural difference of Chinese and English.
This paper can be divided into five parts. The first part is a brief introduction of the research background, meaning and direction. The second part analyses the cultural differences of color words and their causes. In this part, it first introduces the cultural differences of color words, such as different custom and beliefs, feelings and emotions, social and political systems, and so on; then it analyses the causes of cultural differences from the perspectives, historical background and social customs. The third part makes a contrastive analysis of the differences of “Red color” between Chinese and English cultures. The “Red Color” in Chinese culture often represents auspiciousness, smoothness and success, youth and health, prosperity and liveliness, revolution and socialism; while the “Red Color” in English culture is usually related to negative elements, such as violence and bloodshed, radicalism and revolution, danger and nervousness, extravagance and obscenity, economic decline. The fourth part puts forward some commonly used methods in translating “Red”, including equivalent translation, word conversion, addition and paraphrase.
