Abstract
This paper intends to probe into the effects of differences of translators’ cultural identity on their translation choice on the basis of comparison between Fu Lei and Yu Guangzhong. This study applies the relevant theory of cultural identity to analyze and study the two persons’ translation choice. First, in this paper, the author attempts to give a definition of cultural identity based on previous study. Then, we aim to make specific analysis of four properties of cultural identity: geographical property, national property, historical property and dynamic property. Then, the author argues translators’ translation choice which includes text and strategy. Through the above analysis, the paper at last illustrates the effects of the differences of translators’ cultural identity on their translation choice: the translator’s cultural identity affects his values, ideology, artistic accomplishments and literature attitude and appreciation. On the basis of qualitative analysis, the paper also makes use of case studies and descriptive research to study.

通过比较傅雷和余光中的文化身份异同，本文研讨了译者文化身份异同对其翻译选择的作用。文章主要应用文化身份的相关理论对两人的翻译选择进行略论探讨。首先，英语毕业论文，在前人探讨基础上对文化身份的内涵进行界定。接着，具体略论译者文化身份的四个属性：地理属性、民族属性、历史属性、动态属性。然后，对译者的翻译选择包括翻译文本和翻译策略进行略论。通过以上略论，英语论文，文章阐明了译者文化身份异同对其翻译选择的作用：译者文化身份作用其人生观、意识形态、艺术修养、文学鉴赏态度进而作用其翻译选择。文章在定性略论的基础上应用个案探讨和描述性探讨法进行探讨。

1 Introduction
Translators’ cultural identity and translation choice have received extensive attention in recent years, not only in cross-cultural communication, but also in linguistics, anthropology, and psychology etc. The present paper serves as a tentative study of effects of translators’ cultural identity on translation choice.
The rationale for this study contains two points. Firstly, translators’ cultural identity has in recent years received increased attention in China and abroad. Fu Lei and Yu Guangzhong are two typical translators of modern Chinese translation history. Doubts have been raised as to how translators’ cultural identity is constructed. Secondly, study on translators’ translation choice is a hot topic in recent years. In fact, translators’ cultural identity and translation choice are closely connected. It would be of great academic interest to provide an insight into the contrastive analysis of common points and difference of cultural identity on translation choice.
