Abstract
English political speeches are an important cultural phenomenon of the western society. As an important weapon in the political struggle, English political speeches play a significant role in clarifying government stance on internal and external political affairs. Thus, faithfully and smoothly translating such speeches is extremely important. However the unique features and special language style and rhetorical feature of political public speech pose great challenges to the completion of this task. In this thesis, I would first discuss the linguistic and rhetoric characteristics and features of political speeches, and then explore some ways to handle these features, and enable translators to give better rendering.

英语政治演讲是西方社会的一个重要的文化现象。作为政治斗争的重要武器，英语毕业论文，英语政治演讲在政府就国内外政治事件表明立场方面发挥了重要影响。因此，英语论文范文，忠实流畅地翻译政治演讲尤其重要。但是，政治演讲的特点、它的语言风格、修辞特点都给翻译造成难度。但反过来，如果我们完全了解了它的特点、风格，那翻译也会容易很多。本文从政治演讲的特点，语言风格、常用修辞方面探讨了翻译中针对这些特点应该注意的问题及对策。

With the growing economic strength, China possesses greater influence and visibility in the world, takes more active part in the world affairs, and addresses more importance to English political speech, especially that of American. Thus, the rendering of these speeches are of great importance, but not necessarily easy because of its unique features and standards. It’s almost impossible for a translator to successfully render English political speeches into Chinese language without taking into consideration that uniqueness. This thesis endeavors to explore the special language style and other features of political speeches and ways to handle them.
