Abstract
In recent years, education and educational concept have been highly-focused, especially in the 21st century characterized by more drastic competition. The main factor that influences students’ study is the learning motivation, and the educational concepts have the great influence on the formation of learning motivation. This thesis takes the movie Dead Poets Society as an example to analyze and study the influences that the educational concepts have made on the students’ learning motivation, especially the influence on Neil and Todd.
The thesis consists of four parts: Chapter One is an introduction, briefing the background of education concepts, the purpose, significance and organization of this thesis. Chapter Two offers literature review which focuses on previous studies, as well as the basic concepts. Chapter Three is the main body of this thesis, in which the movie Dead Poets Society is introduced, Keating’s educational concepts and influences on Neil and Todd are analyzed. The last chapter will be a summary of the thesis in which major findings, limitations of the study, suggestions for further studies will be included.

摘要
近年来，英语论文题目，教育和教育理念越来越受到人们的关注，尤其是在竞争激烈的二十一世纪。作用学生学习的一个重要因素就是学生的学习动机。而教育理念在学生学习动机形成过程中起着重大作用。本文以成长电影《死亡诗社》为例，略论、探讨教育理念对学生学习动机的作用，主要是对尼尔和陶德的作用。
本论文由四个部分组成：第一章是本论文的介绍，概括介绍目前的教育理念背景，以及本文的目的和意义以及结构。第二章是文献综述，介绍相关概念和理论以及前人的探讨与略论。第三章是本文的正文，介绍电影《死亡诗社》，对基廷的教育理念和其对尼尔和陶德的作用。最后一章是本文的总结，包括探讨的发现、不足之处以及对今后探讨的建议。

1.1 Background
The 21st century is viewed as the era of the great information explosion, it means the cultivation of humanism. The great explosion of the information needs creative education, which has an important significance on the cultivation of the creative talents in the 21st century. It is the main goal for the 21st education, to implement quality-oriented education, improve students’ qualities and cultivate qualified personnel with spirit innovation and practice. Quality and creative education will lay a solid foundation for cultivation of the talents.
Because of the expansion of the new curriculum, taking students as the body of new course reform implementation in parts of the region have already obtained to show significant effect as well. Moreover, curriculum concept, content of courses, students’ lifestyle and teaching methods have changed a lot. The main reason that causes the changes is the reform of educational concepts.
