Abstract
Under the influence of traditional teaching methodologies, the role of students has long been underestimated. However, contemporary education and psychology have together recognized that the ultimate goal of education is to shape students into autonomous learners. More specifically, they need to understand how to use effective learning strategies that can enable them to achieve success while at the same time promote their learning abilities. Considering that the reform in educational ideologies has given birth to the concept of autonomous learning, students’ initiative and enthusiasm toward learning, as well as the establishment of their knowledge structure and abilities should be given a higher status.
This thesis intends to explore both reasons and significance for English learners to attach greater attention to autonomous learning. It is composed of five parts: part one presents the introduction of the study and will generalize the purpose as well as its background. Part two contains an overview of autonomous learning, including its essentials and determinants. Part three and part four will be taken as the core of this thesis. In part three, a detailed analysis of approaches to autonomous learning, together with some useful strategies are to be demonstrated. In the fourth part, the role of teachers will be emphasized, with two measures proposed. In the last part, a conclusion will be drawn based on the previous studies.

摘 要
由于受到传统教学模式的作用,学习者作为学习主体的地位常常被忽略。与此同时,当代教育界和心理学界均认为教育的终极目标是塑造学生的自主学习能力。具体而言,他们需要掌握有效的学习策略并同时提高自主学习能力。通常,个人的成就与其自主学习能力往往有着密切的关系。教育理念的改革也引发了对自主学习这一环节的重视,英语论文题目,其中,学生的学习热情、知识体系的建立以及学习能力的培养都应该放在同等的高度并予以关注。
本探讨在强调推广自主学习必要性的同时,探寻学生开展自主学习的措施,并结合教师教学模式的改进,英语毕业论文,提出提高学生自主学习能力的若干策略。它由五部分组成。第一部分简要介绍该探讨的背景及其推广目的。第二部分包含了对自主学习的概述、其核心思想与决定因素。第三部分和第四部分是本文的核心。第三部分详细略论了自主学习的措施以及若干重要的学习策略。第四部分通过介绍两种具体的方法,进一步强调了教师的角色。最后的结论在前期探讨的基础上,重申了该探讨具有的深远意义。
