摘 要
在中国高校,大学生学习的英语四项技巧——听说读写中,英语论文范文,写作是世人普遍认为最为复杂但亦是最能反馈出他们程度的一个较重要的技巧。相关于母语写作,学生的英文写作不但需要学生具有一定的语言使用能力,同时还需要学生知晓如何应用写作的策略以及其技巧。大学生在进行英语写作的过程中经常会犯各种错误,英语论文范文,而母语的负迁移就是导致这种种错误的一个重要原因。此次论文收集了浙江越秀外国语学院英语学院大一学生第一次月考的作文50篇,通过对错误的整理与剖析,发现学生在词汇、语法以及语篇等方面存在较大差错。本篇论文将采取定性探讨和定量探讨来进行探讨。此篇论文将讨论母语的负迁移对大学生们的英语写作的作用并试图找出些许对策,以此来减少它对大学生们的英语写作的作用来达到提升他们英语写作水平的目标。

Abstract
Among the four basic skills of English learning—listening, speaking, reading and writing, writing is known as the most complex skill and the most noticeable one to prove the level of the students’ English in our Chinese universities. Related to the mother tongue writing, students’ English writing not only entails the students have a certain linguistic competence, but also requests them to know how to use writing strategies and skills. Students often face the errors in their procedure of English writing, while the negative transfer of mother language is the one of the most obvious factors leading to all these errors. This paper collects 50 writings from freshmen’s first monthly examination in Zhejiang Yuexiu University of Foreign Languages. In relation to the collect and analyses of errors, some errors like lexis, grammar and discourse are founded. This research will take the quantitative methods and qualitative methods on this study. The purpose of this thesis is to study the negative transfer of mother language to college students’ English writing and find some countermeasures in order to reduce the interference of negative transfer of mother language in college students’ English writing and increase the level of Chinese college students’ English writing.

1 Introduction
1.1 Background of the study
With the growth of the world communication, English has become more significant as the international language in the world. In the meanwhile, learning English has been a necessity for much more Chinese people. With the development of the College English teaching reform, the cultivation of students’ practical ability has come to be a core of the college English teaching reform. Among the four elementary skills, writing is considered as the most complicated one for Chinese college students. Related to students’ writing in their native language, students must master the language proficiency, writing skills in English writing. One significant reason that occurs in Chinese college students’ English writings is the negative transfer of mother language.
