摘要
作为当代华裔女性文学的代表人物之一,谭恩美的著作一经问世就引起了社会各界的广泛关注。她的小说中独特的时代背景,鲜活的女主人公形象以及引人深思的母女联系的描写,让谭恩美的著作广受学者的关注。从第一部著作《喜福会》开始,谭恩美就从独特的女性视角书写人物联系。第二部著作《灶神之妻》,谭恩美在保留自己写作上的风格的同时,在这部著作中为中国传统文化赋予了新的意义,从而引起了更多学者的探讨。但在早期对于《灶神之妻》中女主人公蒋蔚丽的女性主体意识建构的探讨中,多数学者以女性主义为理论基础进行略论。然而,关于一个展现了两种鲜明文化的著作,关于文化作用的略论也是至关重要的。
本文将以跨文化交际理论为主要理论依据,英语论文范文,并且以女性主义相关理论为参考依据,以内容略论和文献探讨为探讨措施,致力于探讨在双重文化作用下的《灶神之妻》中女主人公的女性主体意识的建构过程。本论文认为中美两种文化的作用在女主人公的女性主体意识建构过程中起着关键影响。论文首先阐述了谭恩美及其著作的诞生背景,其次给出了当前有关谭恩美以及其著作《灶神之妻》的相关探讨。然后通过略论著作中有不同文化象征意义的代表人物,以及结合两种文化略论女主人公蒋蔚丽的女性主体意识的成长过程,英语论文题目,最后得出结论《灶神之妻》中女主人公的女性主体意识建构是在中美两种文化的作用下形成的。

Abstract
As one of the famous American Chinese female writers in present literature, Amy Tan’s works have been the social focus all around the world. The special writing background, the vivid heroines and the thought provoking description of the relationship between a mother and a daughter catch the attentions of many scholars. Amy Tan started her writing style of female narrative from her first book The Joy Luck Club. She obtained this writing style to her second book The Kitchen God’s Wife. Besides this, her new definition to traditional Chinese myth arose more researches on it. In most of the former studies, scholars focused more on the influences of feminism in the construction of the female subjectivity of the heroine Winnie in The Kitchen God’s Wife, however, the analysis of cultural effects are of great importance in studying The Kitchen God’s Wife.
This thesis employs cross-cultural communication theory as theoretical foundation and the studies of feminism as the relative theory, and mainly focuses on the cultural effects on the construction of Winnie’s female subjectivity. It adopts content analysis and literature research method as research methods. This paper contends that the effects of Chinese and American cultures on the construction of Winnie’s female subjectivity are of great importance. The paper first gives a brief introduction to the background of Amy Tan and her work The Kitchen God’s Wife; then it lists the former researches on Amy Tan and her works. After that, it gives the analysis of several typical characters who represent different cultures and the growing process of Winnie’s subjectivity through the analysis of combining the two cultures together. Based on my analysis, it is concluded that the construction of Winnie’s subjectivity is completed under the effects of both Chinese and American cultures.
