摘要
《哈利波特》系列小说是英国女作家在世纪之交的十多年内创作出来的魔幻文学著作。这部著作在全球的读者圈内掀起了阅读的狂潮。然而是什么特点使得这本书拥有如此这般的作用力和召唤力，全球总销量超过4亿册，市场产业链超过千亿，并且带动起了一系列周边产品和周边消费？
本文首先了解了前人对《哈利波特》系列小说的探讨，英语论文，得知其探讨方向多从本书中体现的英雄主义、女性主义、神话传说隐喻等方面出发，或者从市场营销的方向出发，英语论文，略论这部小说的成功。本文另辟蹊径，从J.K.罗琳女士身为浸染英国风格作家的身份出发，了解本书中特殊的英式幽默的运用。探寻这些英式幽默如何吸引着读者。

Abstract
The Harry Potter series is a masterpiece of magic literature produced by J.K.Rowling, an English female writer, at the turn of the century over a decade. These books have raised a reading surge among universal readers. So what peculiar attributes have contributed to such appealing and summoning power of this series that it has sold over 400mn volumes, reached hundreds of billions in its marker chain value, and created a whole range of related products and consumption?
This paper starts from the previous research of Harry Potter, and after knowing that most of the previous researches are mostly from the perspectives of heroism, feminism or myth implications, or focus on its success marketing. This paper chooses a different facet of this book by acknowledging that J.K.Rowling is an English writer and is deeply influenced by British culture. This paper tries to detect the application of British humor in these books and analyze how those applications have drawn the interests of readers.
This paper is not only an supplement to the Harry Potter analyzing literature, but also an newly opened window in the research of this series.
