Abstract
As one of the most predominant feminist literary figures, Virginia Woolf has influenced and enlightened many feminist writers, especially her thoughts of “stream of consciousness” and her ideas about feminist critic. But now with lots of research on her works, the focus is shifted from writing techniques to her androgynous ideas embodied in her writing. To the Lighthouse is one of Woolf’s major achievements, and from the perspective of gender differences, it reveals the fact of the male-centered binary opposition. Then she puts forward her androgynous thought and advances her proposals for the deconstructions of sexual dichotomy to construct a balanced relation between men and women. Thus, seen through androgyny, this paper is attempted to have a new interpretation of To the Lighthouse in contrast and harmony.
This thesis consists of five parts. The first chapter is the introduction which consists of three parts: research background, research purpose and a brief introduction to Woolf. The second chapter mainly deals with the definition, social background and significance of androgyny. The third chapter is the core of this thesis, analyzing Woolf’s androgynous idea in To the Lighthouse in three aspects. The forth chapter is to introduce Woolf’s artistic features employed in this novel. The last chapter is the conclusion of the thesis. Through the above analysis, it is not hard to find that Woolf’s androgyny embodies in the development of feminism.
At present, most of the studies in China emphasizes Woolf’s writing technique of “stream of consciousness”, but the study on her androgyny is not comprehensive. Her androgyny has constructive significance to the development of present feminism and feminist literary criticism. Therefore, this paper is to probe into the comprehensive study of her androgynous idea by the analysis of the characters in this novel, and to advance methods from contrast to harmony between men and women, so as to live in the harmony of two genders in reality.

弗吉尼亚•伍尔夫作为最主要的女性文学作家之一，作用并指引了历史上许多女性主义作家，特别是其意识流写作手法和她的女权主义批评理论。但随着对于伍尔夫作品的深入探讨，探讨的重点从她的写作技巧转变为其两性思想。而《到灯塔去》是伍尔夫探究两性思想的主要著作之一，著作从男女异同入手，揭示了男权社会两性对立的近况；同时，提出双性同体的观点，消除对立，构建均衡的两性联系。因此，英语毕业论文，本篇论文将从双性同体观的角度出发，重点研讨两性从异同走向融合的过程来全新解读《到灯塔去》这部著作。
本文由以下五个部分组成。第一章是由三部分组成的引言，分别是：探讨背景，选择本选题的意义以及对作者生平和著作的介绍。第二章主要论述了伍尔夫双性同体观形成的概念、背景和意义。第三部分是本文的中心所在，主要通过三个方面略论小说中体现的双性同体思想。第四章介绍文中伍尔夫所应用的艺术手法。最后为结语。通过以上略论，不难发现双性同体思想体现在女性主义的发展过程中。
当前，国内学术界对弗吉尼亚•伍尔夫的探讨更多着重于她的意识流写作技巧，但关于她的双性同体观的探讨并不全面。而她的这一思想，对当今的女权主义发展以及女性主义文学批评的探讨，具有重要意义。为此，英语毕业论文，本文通过对《到灯塔去》中主要人物的略论，研讨双性同体思想，其目的是提出男女由异同走向融合的途径，从而实现两性的和谐相处。
