Abstract:

The Unbearable Lightness of Being is Milan Kundera’s most famous work, which was once praised as the most important work in 20th century by New York Times. In The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Kundera puts forward the reflection on the meaning of life. The main characters in this novel make the different choices of life due to their different dispositions, and their love views are also different from each other. Some people define life as a heavy one while others choose the lightness. Different love views lead them different lives. This paper analyzes the four main characters’ love views and tries to find out the problems. Love is an ancient but forever new topic. Nowadays, people still argue and think of the understanding of love views. Love view is embodied in the feeling of love on the issue of their world outlook and is also the outlook on life and values. A correct view of love can guide people to happiness,healthy and wonderful life.

摘  要:

《不能承受的生命之轻》是米兰•昆德拉最具代表性的一部著作,英语论文,《纽约时报》评论该作是二十世纪最重要的经典之作。在《不能承受的生命之轻》中,昆德拉提出对生命意义的思考,小说中的主要人物因为性格异同对生命的选择大不相同,他们的爱情观也相差甚远。有些人将生命定义为沉重的,另一些人却选择轻逸,英语论文范文,不同的爱情观带给他们不同的生活。本论文将略论小说四位主人公的爱情观并略论它们所存在的问题。爱情是一个古老而常新的话题。对爱情的认识、观点至今引发人们去争论和思索。爱情观是是一个人的世界观、人生观和价值观在感情问题上的体现。一个正确的爱情观会引导人们走向幸福、健康、美好的生活。

1 Introduction
1.1 Milan Kundera
Milan Kundera was born in Prague, Czech in 1929. But in 1975, he took actions to leave Czech for France because of regime’s politics and dissident intellectuals were “encouraged” to leave Czech and immigrate to the countries in the west. When he came to France, he became one of the most famous foreign authors in France in a short time. He is not only the author of The Unbearable Lightness of Being and The Book of Laughter and Forgetting and The Joke. The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Immortality and the short-story collection Laughable Loves were all originally written in Czech.
In 1967, Kundera’s full-length novel The Joke was first published in Czech, it was a great success, and the success also made Kundera become famous quickly in the literary arena.
