  小学生使用频率最高的是决定策略,使用最低的是元认知策略。最常使用"查看书上单词表",英语毕业论文,最不常使用"跳过或忽略生词"。所有类型策略的使用上男女学生没有显著异同。男生使用频率最高的是社会策略和决定策略,英语论文题目,而女生倾向于使用决定策略和认知策略。

  词汇是最基本的元素和一个语言的基础。作为威尔金斯(1972)宣布,“没有语法,小可以转达了;没有词汇,没有什么可以传达。“(卡特和麦卡锡1988)Harmer(1990:158)指出:“如果我们比较语言结构的素描,词汇是语言的事情提供了重要器官的血和肉。“同样,布朗说,“词是语言的基本构建块”(1994)。因此,为了掌握一门语言,首先也是最重要的事情是要掌握它的词汇。Vocabulary is the most fundamental element and the basis of a language. AsWilkins (1972) declared, "Without grammar, little can be conveyed; withoutvocabulary, nothing can be conveyed." (Carter and McCarthy 1988) Harmer (1990:158) pointed out: "If we compare language structure to the sketch of language,vocabulary is the thing that provides important organs with blood and flesh."Similarly, Brown said, "words are basic building blocks of language" (1994). Thus, inorder to master a language, the first and foremost thing is to master its vocabulary.


  
  1, The Importance of Vocabulary in L2 Learning词汇学习的重要性
  Vocabularies, together with phonetics, grammar are inseparable components in alanguage system. To acquire a language system in fact is to acquire the vocabulary.  Itis of crucial importance for language learners to master the vocabulary learning for itsfundamental role in the process of the L2 language acquisition. Krashen and Terrell(1983) clearly indicate "vocabulary is of prime concern in L2 settings because it playsa dominant role in classroom success." It is indicated that the comprehensibility isdirectly dependent on the ability to recognize meanings of words; thus acquisition willnot take place without comprehension of vocabulary. As Yang Yunlin(1999) havestated that vocabulary teaching is the key to the success or failure of the Englishteaching. If we do well in the vocabulary teaching, we can solve most of the problems.According to Wang Ping (2017), vocabulary is playing a more and more importantrole in the foreign language teaching. Liu Mo points out that vocabulary knowledgeexercises greatly influence on the improvement of a student's ability in listening,speaking, reading and translating. (Liu Mo 1995) Therefore, in order to becomeproficient in a second language, we must develop a large number of vocabularies sothat we can express our thoughts, opinions, feelings freely.


  
  2, Purposes and Significance of This Research探讨的意义和目的
  Vocabulary leaning strategies, literally, are strategies which are used in vocabularylearning for teachers to teach and students to learn, which are very beneficial inenriching one's vocabulary. The research is to draw an overall pattern of Englishvocabulary learning strategies used by Beijing primary schools students throughquestionnaire, vocabulary tests, interviews and classroom observations; furthermore,the researcher tries to find out the choice difference affected by gender and theonly-child factors, the correlation between vocabulary test results and midtermexamination achievement, and the effective vocabulary learning strategies suitable forlearning and teaching, beneficial for arousing primary school students' interests andmotivation in English learning.The significance of this research is explicitly explained in the following aspects:First of all, although vocabulary learning strategies have been studied for manyyear
