Langacker in the late 20t'' century, is different from the traditional grammar, Leonard Bloomfield's structuralism, Noam Chomsky's Transformational Grammar, C. J. Fillmore's Case Grammar, R. Montague's Montague Grammar, M. A. K. Halliday's Systemic Functional Grammar and so on, and nowadays it becomes a favorable new grammar research direction. Since 21St century, more and more scholars followed Langacker's paces, trying to explain all the grammatical phenomena from the perspective of human beings' mental conceptions, and then Grounding Theory came out and has become a well-found theory gradually. The major representatives of Grounding Theory are: Ronald W. Langacker, John R. Taylor, and Giinter Radden. Ronald W. Langacker is the person who first proposed the concept of Grounding Theory in the frame of Cognitive Grammar, John R. Taylor simplifies and clarifies the structure of Grounding Theory. The latest statement is from Gunter Radden, who applies the whole Grounding Theory into English grammar teaching and interprets all the grammar marks from cognitive perspective. Among lots of language phenomena, ambiguity takes a big proportion. While in the past, people always used traditional grammar, IC analysis, TG grammar or Systemic Functional Grammar to explain it. Up to now, nobody has adopted Cognitive Grammar to analyze language ambiguity phenomena.
