Abstract The 21st century is the age when comprehensive national power competes with high quality talents. When we come into the 21st century we face a realistic permanent challenge. With the development of the globalization of the world economy and trade, English language has become more important all over the world, and each day there are millions of people learning English as foreign language in China. Now, focusing on emotional teaching is one of important characteristics in the innovation of basic educational project. Emotional education will be helpful for students in their quality education. Teachers should help students explore their own feelings or the values and functions of the emotional and psychological factors in English teaching. Emotional teaching in English focus on how to help students develop their creative quality. It is coincidence with the principle of quality education in learning activity. Quality education can be defined as all-around and personality harmonious development and modern education. We could fulfill the goals of quality education if we pay more attention to the students’ emotion. As a foreign teacher, we should update the concept of education, and know exactly the function of factors, which influence the students’ learning and the enormous role of the healthy growth. Emotional teaching is gifted with intelligence and education. Therefore, the teachers should help students build a healthy mentality, stable emotion, and good moral standard. On the other hand, with the role of education and future needs of the community, the goal of teaching contently enrich the content from the “knowledge-based”and “smart” to “personality development” direction.
