专业发展背景下河南省高校大学英语教师素质缺失问题探索

摘要
目前,专业发展背景下,大学英语教师素质面临多方面挑战。正在进行的大学英语教学改革对大学英语教师素质提出新要求;高校扩招,精英教育转向大众化教育致使大学招生层次复杂,对大学英语教师素质提出新要求;在中小学英语教学普及、新课程改革推行的背景下,新一届大学生英语水平发生变化,对大学英语教师素质提出新要求;在英语素质已经成为大学毕业生就业时的重要通用技能的今天,大学生的求职就业新需求对大学英语教师素质提出新要求。面对种种挑战,当务之急就是要通过持续、高质量的专业发展使大学英语教师素质不断得到完善提高,尽快适应形势变化。那么,专业发展背景下,大学英语教师素质存在哪些问题英语论文题目,应该如何应对,理所当然就成为本探讨的价值所在。本文的主要目的即是在中国日益融入全球化,英语素质日益成为大学生就业必要条件的前提下,以大学毕业生就业英语水平需求为契机,根据教师专业发展及建构主义理论,略论专业发展背景下的大学英语教师素质缺失问题,并探求可能的解决途径。 
本文主要研讨以下问题:
什么是教师专业发展?
专业发展背景下,大学英语教师素质存在什么问题?
解决存在问题的可能性途径是什么?
为解决以上问题,本文对40位大学英语教师以问卷和访谈形式进行了调查探讨,这40位大学英语教师来自河南省内分布于不同城市的十所类型有别的大学,结果表明,专业发展背景下,大学英语教师素质存在诸多问题,主要反映在教学理念、职业情感、业务素质和科研能力等方面。
基于以上结论,本探讨提出了相关建议,在大学英语教育教学中,大学英语教师要做到:创新自身关于大学英语教学的教学理念 ;培养自身关于大学英语教学的职业情感; 发展自身关于大学英语教学的专业素质; 提高自身关于大学英语教学的科研能力;希望通过本探讨的调查略论,有益于大学毕业生走出就业困境,有助于大学英语教师进一步明确专业发展方向。

Abstract
Currently, in the course of professional development, college English teachers face challenges. Present college English teaching reform poses new demands for college EFL teacher’s quality; In the context of popularity of English teaching and implement of new curriculum reform in primary and high schools, English level of new college recruits has changed much, which poses new demands for college EFL teacher’s quality; English proficiency has been one of important universal skills in modern times, English proficiency of graduates can not fulfill changing demands of society, the worse thing is that their employment has been influenced a lot.  In this situation, college English teacher’s quality is required to be quickly perfected with a view to improvement of college students’ English proficiency. In face of these challenges, it has been recognized that college EFL teacher’s quality can be perfected through further professional development. Then, as a college EFL teacher, what can be done to help improve college students’ English proficiency to meet changing demands through further professional development? It matters.
The main purpose of this study is to find out these deficient qualities and tentative solutions, according to relevant theories of teacher professional development and constructivist theories.
present study aims to solve the following questions:
1. What is teacher professional development?
2. What are quality faults of college EFL teachers in the course of professional development?
3. What are tentative solutions?
In order to solve these questions, a research was conducted by ways of questionnaire and interview. Forty participants involving in this research are college EFL teachers from ten universities of different levels in various cities within Henan province.
 The results of investigation indicated that: college EFL teachers can obviously improve college students’ English proficiency to better serve their employment; present graduates are lack of English application ability and humanities qualities; college EFL teacher’s teaching activities do not connect well with graduates’ employment; college EFL teachers should improve themselves in some ways, including: teachers’ beliefs, commitments to career, professional competence and academic research ability.
