The reform is a pioneering work, so it is notpossible to follow a certain existing model. All kinds of study about the new curriculumreform is developing like a raging fire; the reform of classroom education~the main part ofcurriculum reform, makes the most bright scenery and the mode—guided learning plan is oneof the most wonderful.
1.1 The Background of the Study探讨背景
In 2017, High School English Curriculum Standards were issued by the EducationMinistry. The Standards stated that “The objective of English in middle school is to developstudents' ability to use English in an all-around way, in which language knowledge andlanguage skills are the foundation." (Education Ministry, 2017).English reading, an importantpart of language skills，英语论文题目，plays a significant role in English teaching. Consequently, purereading comprehension makes up more than 1/3 in the present NMET papers, topping all theother types.Among the four language skills，reading is the most often used one by Chinese Englishusers both at work and in daily life. In the syllabus for high school, the development of thereading skill is set as the primary goal. Through reading,different countries' history, politics, geography, economy and religion, etc. can come intolearners' mind, and open a new door of knowledge.From the above, we know that reading not only plays a great part in the organization ofan exam paper, but also contributes a lot to improving learners' different skills and abilities.That is a long-process striving.However, the current English Teaching in senior high middle school is not so optimistic.There are some aspects contributing to the low efficiency, that is: lack of theories in readingteaching and the backward teaching methods.
