本文首先对新闻标题这一特殊的探讨对象进行了大体的介绍，并且就目前国内外专家对新闻标题的探讨成果做了一个简要的总结；然后阐述了本文的重要理论基础，即莱可夫在《我们赖以生存的隐喻》一书中提到的概念隐喻，从它的定义，工作机制，英语论文，特点，分类等方面深化了对这一理论的理解。最后，从《纽约时报》、《金融时报》随机收集了各30则新闻标题，根据概念隐喻理论进行了分类，并从认知角度给予了细致的略论。

ABSTRACT
This paper first generally introduces the object of news headline, and gives a brief summary of the research of home and aboard related to news headline. Then, the writer puts forward the important theoretical basis of this thesis--- conceptual metaphor in Lakeoff’s Metaphors We Live By, and help to deepening the understanding of this theory from the aspects of its definition, working Mechanism, characteristics and classification. Finally, the writer collects 60 pieces of news headlines from The New York Time and Financial Times (30 from each), and give a detailed analysis from the cognitive point according to the classification of the conceptual metaphor.
